Recently, the 8th grade media students traveled with Ms. Parsons to tour the WTAP studios in Parkersburg, WV. The students learned about the various career opportunities available in the media field. They were able to watch Emma Grace Myers record an interview that would be used later in the broadcast. She also showed them how the teleprompter works and allowed them to try it out while reading the script themselves. Henry Groff allowed the students to experiment with the digital tools that he uses when giving the weather forecast. The students found out that it is much more challenging than it looks.
