Our high school health classes recently welcomed D.A.R.E. Officer Deputy Barnhart for an impactful discussion on the opioid epidemic and its effects on individuals, families, and communities. Deputy Barnhart provided students with valuable insight into the risks associated with drug use, emphasizing the importance of prevention, awareness, and informed decision-making. Building on this learning experience, students created and presented projects focused on potential solutions to the opioid crisis. Their work demonstrated thoughtful research, empathy, and a strong commitment to promoting healthy choices and positive change within their community. We are grateful to Deputy Barnhart for serving as a trusted resource for our students and for his continued dedication to educating and protecting our district.a
