Eastern 4th grade teacher Christi Lisle was recently honored as the Elementary Teacher of the Year at the Coalition of Rural and Appalachian Schools banquet in Cambridge, Ohio.
Christi, who is more than deserving of this recognition, was quick to credit her colleagues at Eastern and express how grateful she is to be part of such a dedicated team. That humility and team-first mindset are just a few of the qualities that make her so special.
During the presentation, it was said that “Teaching is kindness in action.” There may not be a better example of that than Mrs. Lisle. Her hard work, compassion, and steady encouragement make a lasting impact on our students every single day.
