On Saturday January 22nd prior to the Varsity Boys Basketball Game vs Wahama the Eastern Athletic Department will recognize the 2001 State Qualifying Softball Team and their outstanding coach, and longtime contributor to Eastern Athletics: Coach Pam Douthitt who will be inducted into the newly established Eastern Athletic Hall of Fame.

Then, on Friday January 28th prior to the Varsity Boys Basketball Game vs Trimble the Eastern Athletic Department will recognize the 2001 State Qualifying Boys Basketball Team and their outstanding coach, and longtime contributor to Eastern Athletics: Coach Howie Caldwell who will also be inducted into the newly established Eastern Athletic Hall of Fame.

Both of these teams would be the standard bearer for Eastern for the next several decades. Members of these great teams have gone on to make major contributions to this community and many others both on and off the court.
