State Board of Education member Michelle Newman came to Eastern to tour the facility and meet with various leadership teams including administrators, teachers, and board members to talk about our concerns, ideas, and how we can help each other going forward. We discussed everything from preschool, to transportation, our partnership with Hopewell as well as other agencies, state report cards, our expanding career technical education programs, and our plans for the future. We can’t thank her enough for taking the time to listen and discuss these important issues, and allow us to be a part of the political process. Can’t wait to see how we can build this relationship going forward.
