The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship opportunity is available to eligible 2024 graduating seniors. Applications are due by 1/1/2024. The link with all directions is attached below. Eastern Local officials have investigated and worked with our School Resource Officer, local authorities, and homeland security yesterday and this morning concerning a swatting/hoax threat that was distributed to hundreds of schools across the country. Our school did not receive any of these threats/hoaxes, but we have taken extra steps to ensure students safety today and school will proceed today as normal. If you have any questions please reach out.

Boys Basketball and Cheerleading are selling these t-shirts (sales will continue until 3:00pm Monday, 12/11). 100% of the proceeds from these shirt sales will go to a local family with a member who is battling cancer. Thank you so much for your support!

High School Girls Basketball on Saturday 12/9 at Portsmouth West has been cancelled.

Tonight's Junior High Boys Basketball game at Federal Hocking begins at 6:00pm, with 8th grade following.

Cookies with Santa will be Thursday, December 14th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Elementary Cafeteria. Stop in and see Santa! We are excited to see you and your families!

The Eastern High School Student Council and the American Red Cross will be sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, December 5th from eight o’clock until one thirty in the high school gymnasium. All donors will receive free ice cream for donating! Again, there will be a blood drive on Tuesday, December 5th from eight o’clock until one thirty in the high school gymnasium. The more donors we have, the more scholarships we can offer to our senior students. Thank you and we hope to see you there!

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Junior High Girls Basketball will play at home vs. Vinton County on Monday 12/11. The originally scheduled away game at Logan on this date has been moved to Monday 1/29.

For those travelling to Waterford for tonight's JV and Varsity Girls Basketball game, fans have been asked to stay off the court before and after the games. Thank you for your cooperation.

We will have dress-up activities all through the month of December. Would love for students and staff to participate.

The elementary student council is selling Eastern Pride shirts for $10. The order forms are due on NOVEMBER 30th (THURSDAY) at 8:30 am. We will not be able to take any late orders. If you need more order forms, check with the office (only ONE shirt per order form).

Eastern Eagles have a lot to be thankful for this year ❤️ Students in Mrs. Stoltzfus's 7th-grade class took the time to reflect on what they were grateful for this year, and it was quite a list! Her class would like to wish everyone in the Eastern community a happy, healthy, and reflective Thanksgiving break.
