This is a reminder that students with perfect attendance in grades 7-12 for the month of April will be placed into a drawing for a $75 Walmart gift card.
Thursday, April 25th is Family Night at Eastern Elementary from 4:00-6:00p.m. Come out and join us for a night full of fun activities! Food will be provided! We will also have our annual Art Show! Come and see your children's artwork hanging throughout the building. Our PTO will also have the Book Fair set up on this evening.

Good morning Eastern school buses will not run the following roads this morning due to high water. State Route 248 in Longbottom from the Sandhill intersection to the state Route 124 intersection. Also state Route 124 in Longbottom from the Longbottom post office to Dewitt's Run. And finally state Route 124 from Forked Run to the Belleville Dam. Thank you
Tonight's Baseball and Softball games at Southern have been rescheduled to Wednesday 5/8.
On Tuesday, May 7th Eastern Jr./Sr. High School will have a coalition of law enforcement experts from the FBI and other state agencies at the school to give students in grades 7-12 a presentation regarding internet safety, predator behavior, and other precautionary information to provide students with the best digital navigation and safety skills possible. If you do not wish for your child to watch this presentation, please send a note to the office. Feel free to reach out with any questions if you have any. This presentation is occurring in many other high schools across Southeast Ohio.

Curtis Jeffers, Eastern 7th grader won the perfect attendance drawing for the month of March. Curtis' prize is a brand new Android 125 GB tablet with a wireless mouse and keyboard. Congratulations Curtis! We will continue to do perfect attendance drawings for the months of April and May with each month's prize being a $75 Walmart Gift Card.
Congratulations to Olivia Wood for being selected as the Eastern Jr./Sr. High School Student of the Month. One teacher wrote: Olivia Wood is one of the nicest girls in the senior class to her peers and is ready to learn every day. She makes her classmates feel welcome and is a great role model for younger students to look up too. Olivia also won a $25 Walmart Girt Card, congratulations!
