PARENT NIGHT--Eastern Local Schools will be hosting a Parent Night on Tuesday, September 2nd from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. for 3rd through 12th grades.
3rd-6th grade will host two sessions. One at 5:00 and the second one at 6:00. Please plan on attending one of the two sessions for your children. These sessions will be hosted by the teachers and they will share information about everything you need to know about this year.
7th-12th grade will be in hosted in the individual teachers' classrooms. Please feel free to drop in the teachers' classrooms for information and resources about each class and what you need to know for this year.
We look forward to having the opportunity to meet with you and to answer any questions you may have about this school year.

The school year is off and running, and it has started so well. Special thank you to our amazing students and staff for working together, our band and cheerleaders for pumping everyone up on the first day, and our football team for helping our car riders get in safe and fire up the elementary students.
Our new traffic pattern has gone well, and we appreciate everyone being patient and helpful. A couple things we've noticed that might be helpful would be for all 7-12 students getting dropped off to be sure you are around the corner and pulled forward along the sidewalk as far as you can before dropping off. This will let everyone get around the corner faster and keep it safer for our kiddos. Also please be sure not to let any students out anywhere out front unless it's along the sidewalk. Lastly be sure to use the right and left entrance lanes. K-3 drop off stay to the right and everyone else to the left.
We are excited for a pep rally today with volleyball home versus Meigs tonight and football at Meigs Saturday evening. Come out and support all of these kids who work so hard.

Atomic Credit Union is seeking student applicants for the Student-Run Credit Union this school year at our school district to promote financial literacy, savings, and a unique experience for students to learn money managing skills. A variety of positions are available including a student branch mananger, tellers, member service representatives, book keepers, and data entry specialists. Applications for interested high school students are available in the high school office. This work will be done during the school day during lunch and breakfast times beginning September 16th. Applications must be turned in before August 28th, with interviews being conducted at school during 5th period on September 3rd. Selected applicants would receive training onsite at Eastern on September 9th from 1-2:30pm.

Meigs County families, with school-aged children, the monthly, drive through food distribution will take place at the Meigs Local Administrative office building (formerly Salisbury Elem.) Thursday at 41765 Pomeroy Pike in Pomeroy 4:30-until supplies run out. They will have fresh produce from the Meigs County farmers market, soup and casseroles from the 740 kitchen (Joe Burrow Foundation)
