Saturday's Varsity Softball game vs. Athens is cancelled.

Eastern buses will not run the following roads at dismissal today. Scout Camp, New Hope, Mudsock, Guthrie, West Shade, Cherry Ridge, Keebaugh-Follrod, Short Sumner, 124 from Long Bottom to Dewitt's Run, and Smith Ridge. Please call the school to make arrangements and pick up your students at the Eastern campus. Thank you.

Senior Spotlight
Addi Well is a senior on the Track and Field team. She has been running for 3 years and has earned 3 varsity letters. She has also earned All-Academic TVC, All TVC in Volleyball, and All-District Defensive player of the year in volleyball. Addi is a member of the volleyball team in the fall, National Honors Society, Student Council, and the OSU Student Leadership team. Addi says her greatest memory is running in the 4x4 her sophomore year at Regionals.

Senior Spotlight
Ayden Wilhelm is a senior baseball player. He has played baseball for 4 years earned 4 varsity letters. He is also a member of the golf team in the fall. Ayden says his greatest memory is beating Trimble in the 10th inning of the district semifinal with a walk off hit. After graduation Ayden plans to continue his baseball career at the University of Rio Grande.


This past weekend, the archery teams traveled to Nelsonville for both 3D and Bullseye. For Bullseye, the high school team placed 2nd and the elementary team placed first. Josh Jones brought home 1st place and Joe Putnam placing 5th in high school boys. Nevada Johnson brought home 5th place for high school girls. Grant Brooks brought home 1st place out of elementary boys, and Keeley Davis brought home 2nd place in elementary girls.
For 3D, the high school and elementary teams brought home 1st in teams. With Grant Brooks, bring home 1st place in elementary boys. Congratulations to all the archers. We are proud of the hard work and determination.

Makenzie Robertson, Eastern sophomore has been selected as the Eastern Junior-Senior High School Student of the Month for March. Makenzie models strong academic dedication at all times in all of her subjects, and is always a helping hand when others are in need. Overall, her integrity is what makes her a true example of exemplar student behavior even when the going gets tough. Makenzie also earned a $50 Walmart gift card. Congratulations!

The Eastern High School Student Council and the American Red Cross will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, April 3rd from 8:00 to 1:30 in the high school gymnasium. All donors will receive free ice cream from the Student Council and a $15 Amazon gift card via email from the Red Cross for donating! Any senior who donates or recruits someone to donate in their name will be entered to win a scholarship from the American Red Cross. Again, there will be a blood drive on Thursday, April 3rd from 8:00 to 1:30 in the high school gymnasium. Thank you and we hope to see you there!
