Hello.  Thank you to everyone who participated in the cheese and summer sausage fundraiser.  Items ordered will be passed out as soon as we receive them.  We are starting our next fundraiser this week.  It is the laundry soap and other cleaning items.  Our school has done this fundraiser in the past and it has proved to be very successful.  Fundraiser information and order forms are being passed out this week.  Your Junior may have already received the forms today. If not, they can get the forms from Mrs. Buckley in the high school. This will run through November 21. All orders and money will be due on that day.  Money raised through these fundraisers is what pays for this year's prom.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY is Thursday, 11/10!! Pictures have not yet arrived back from the lab; however, they are available for viewing @ rootsphotoohio.com/order. Go to the Eastern Fall Portraits gallery and then enter your child’s student ID and add two zeros. There will be another retake day in December as well.

On November 2nd, Eastern Elementary students were honored at our monthly PRIDE assembly. Teachers nominate one student from each homeroom for showing integrity, citizenship, or demonstrating their Eagle PRIDE by being Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Dependable, and Encouraging.

John Hood & Wayne Thomas of American Legion Post 128, Middleport explained & administered the "Americanism & Government" test to all Juniors - Wednesday, November 2, 2022. The test is a 50 question, True/false & multiple choice test plus a 300 word essay that tests students knowledge of the US flag, Constitution, Declaration of Independence, state, county, city and local government. Winners are awarded a trip to Gettysburg PA and Washington DC.

There will be an 8th grade parent meeting for parents who’s child plans on going on the 8th grade trip on Monday November 7 at 6pm in the Elementary cafeteria.

Garments can be picked up at ZONEZ on Friday or meet the ZONEZ crew at the school on Thursday night from 6:30-7:15 at the high school parking lot. Orders can be shipped but are not guaranteed to arrive before the game!

Hello, My name is Jezare’ Brooks. I am the Archery Coordinator. We are doing a Rada Fundraiser. The money we get goes back to the kids. It pays for archers to go to Tournaments. Also anything the kids need to be able to shoot. Like things for their bows arrow rest, bow string or string wax. They need arrows as well as stuff for their arrows like nocks and fletching. We also supply the targets they shoot. There are two different kinds: Bullseye and 3D. 3D targets are the animals deer, antelope, sheep, bear, turkey and coyote. Without the funding to help the kids all costs would go back on to parents. All orders can be done with any of our Archers or you are welcome to contact me. When ordering from a book. Your Rada will be sent to us. Then we will make sure you get it. You can also order online and your order will be sent directly to you. Orders can be done at www.RadaFundraising.com Please search for our group name: Eastern Local Archery Club. That way we get credit for your order. All orders have to be in by 16th Nov. 2022. 2022 National School Bus Safety Week: October 17-21, 2022, and the theme is "1 Bus + 1 Driver = a BIG Impact on Education" Yellow flashing lights indicate the bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Motorists should slow down and prepare to stop their vehicles. Red flashing lights and extended stop arms indicate the bus has stopped and children are getting on or off. Motorists must stop their cars and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving before they can start driving again.

National School Bus Safety Week is October 17th through October 21st! Please remember to be on the look out for the Big Yellow Bus each and every day. Eastern Local Schools wants to remind you that our Drivers and Administrative Staff strive each and every day to keep our students safe on the bus and on campus!

Just a reminder that there is a 2 hour early dismissal tomorrow Friday 10/14/22. Elementary pickup will begin at 12:20. For students riding the bus, please make sure there is someone at their drop-off location 2 hrs early. Thank you

Monday 6pm to 7:30pm, Wednesday 6pm to 7:30pm, Friday 6pm to 7:30pm All Archery Practice Schedule will start 7th Nov. Practice Schedule Elementary (4th and 5th grade) Monday and Thursday 5:30pm to 7pm Middle (6th to 8th grade) Tuesday and Wednesday 6pm to 7:30pm High (9th to 12th grade) Monday and Thursday 7:30pm to 8:30pm Open Practice on Friday 6pm to 7:30pm (you will be told by a Coach if you are to come on a Friday!)
