Eastern Junior-Senior High School was incredibly thankful to host COSI, along with many of our wonderful community business partners on Friday, September 5th in a first ever STEM Career learning experience for students in grades 7-9. Students were able to rotate across several stations engaging in STEM learning activities that directly correlate with in-demand careers within the area, and learned about everything from welding, fabrication, surveying, electric power distribution, virtual reality engineering and work based scenarios, along with other engaging activities.

The COSI roadshow pilot is designed to spark children’s excitement for science-based learning and increase their awareness of local career pathways through hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine. The event focused on topics relevant to local, in-demand careers and credentials to inform youth about new career opportunities and help meet future workforce needs specific to local communities and employers.

The Meigs County event was hosted by MCF in partnership with AEP, the Buckley Group, Buckley Ironworks, New Era Broadband, DPC Fabrication and other local employers. We would like to thank all partners for our wonderful event, and look forward to continued career based learning activities for our students this school year. Let us help your student find their "E" today!
